One of the best perks of being an artist + designer is getting to use your own artwork in your projects! Bonnie Larson Staiger’s poetry collection In Plains Sight was a perfect match for this acrylic landscape study, painted at Little Yellowstone Park near Kathryn, ND. Bonnie fell in love with the cover right away, remarking, “when you get to Wise Township, Blue Lake, and my farm you’ll understand why.”
Growing up in rural North Dakota, I’ve always had a deep connection to this region. I’m thrilled that this painting will now get new life as a book cover—especially for someone who shares that same love and appreciation of the plains.
